Glacial Sanctuary

This photograph captures the tranquil beauty of Stígar Valley, nestled in southeast Iceland beneath Vatnajökull, the island’s largest glacier. With its vivid colors, cascading waterfalls, and rugged cliffs, this valley tells a story of transformation—what is now a vibrant landscape was once dominated by ice. The outlet glacier Stígarjökull, which once stretched nearly to the ocean a century ago, now rests at 700 meters above sea level, its retreat shaping the valley’s striking topography.

All prints are currently sold and shipped as a loose print in high quality tubes to keep them safe when being shipped to you. Frames are not included but all prints fit perfectly into standard size frames.
